The Wave
Customer Requirement:
The client at The Wave, Nashik required a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable solar power solution to reduce dependency on grid electricity and lower overall energy expenses for both common-area loads and individual residential units. The key requirements of the client were as follows: 1. Reduction in Electricity Bills The primary objective was to minimize monthly electricity costs for common services and residential consumption through efficient solar power generation. 2. Separate Solar Systems for Common and Residential Use The client required: o A solar system for common meter loads such as lifts, lighting, water pumps, and other shared utilities. o Independent solar systems for nine residential units, each with its own meter, to ensure individual energy monitoring and billing. 3. Use of Trusted and Durable Equipment The client requested the use of reputed brands with proven market performance: o High-quality solar panels for better efficiency and long-term output. o Reliable inverters with long warranty periods, especially for residential systems, to ensure operational security. 4. Long-Term Warranty and Low Maintenance A key requirement was long inverter warranty to reduce future maintenance concerns. The client specifically preferred systems offering up to 10 years inverter warranty for residential installations. 5. Grid-Connected System with Net Metering Compatibility The system was required to be grid-connected, enabling seamless synchronization with the utility grid and compatibility with net metering as per local electricity board regulations. 6. Optimal Use of Available Rooftop Space The solar plant had to be designed to efficiently utilize the available rooftop area without affecting building aesthetics or structural safety. 7. Environment-Friendly Energy Solution The client aimed to adopt a clean and renewable energy solution to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable development.
Project Result:
Summary of Results Total installed capacity: 52 kW Lower electricity costs for common and residential users Clean and sustainable power generation Reliable operation with long-term warranty support
What we did:
To fulfill the client’s requirements for a reliable and efficient solar power system at The Wave, Nashik, the following activities were successfully carried out: 1. Site Survey and Load Analysis Conducted a detailed site survey to assess rooftop availability, shading conditions, and structural feasibility. Electrical load analysis was performed for both common-area loads and individual residential units. 2. System Design and Capacity Planning Designed a total 52 kW solar PV system, segmented into: o 20 kW solar system for the common meter o Nine residential solar systems of 3 kW each The design ensured optimal energy generation and efficient use of rooftop space. 3. Selection of Equipment Selected high-quality components as per client preference: o Waaree solar panels (18 kW) for the common meter system o Luminous 20 kW inverter for common-area power requirements o Luminous 3 kW solar panels and 3 kW inverters for each residential unit Residential inverters were provided with a 10-year warranty. 4. Installation of Solar PV Modules Installed solar panels using appropriate mounting structures with proper tilt and orientation to maximize solar energy generation while maintaining rooftop safety. 5. Electrical Integration and Inverter Installation Completed DC and AC cabling, inverter installation, earthing, and protection systems as per electrical safety standards. Integrated all systems with existing electrical infrastructure. 6. Grid Synchronization and Net Metering Support Ensured proper grid synchronization and assisted with net metering compliance as per local electricity board regulations. 7. Testing and Commissioning Conducted thorough testing of all systems, including voltage checks, inverter performance, and energy output verification. Successfully commissioned the plant for regular operation. 8. Client Handover and Training Handed over the system with complete documentation and provided basic operational training to residents and facility management.
Project Description
The 52 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system installed at The Wave, Nashik has been designed to meet both common-area electrical loads and individual residential energy requirements, ensuring efficient, reliable, and sustainable power generation. The project is divided into two major components: 1. Common Meter Solar System – 20 kW For the common electrical loads of the premises, a 20 kW grid-connected solar system has been installed. This system utilizes Waaree solar panels with a total capacity of 18 kW, known for their high efficiency and durability. Power conversion and grid synchronization are handled by a Luminous 20 kW inverter, ensuring stable performance and optimal energy output. This system significantly reduces electricity consumption from the grid and contributes to lower operational costs for common facilities. 2. Residential Solar Systems – 9 × 3 kW (Total 27 kW) In addition to the common meter system, nine individual residential solar power systems, each of 3 kW capacity, have been installed. Each residential system is equipped with Luminous 3 kW solar panels and a Luminous 3 kW inverter, providing a reliable and efficient power solution for household consumption. All residential inverters come with a 10-year warranty, ensuring long-term performance, reliability, and peace of mind for the residents.
